1. Who are we?
MonSouk is an Android mobile application developed as part of the academic project UniCA / MIAGE EMSI — Création d'Entreprise. The app helps tourists discover authentic Moroccan artisans and souks.

2. Data we collect
MonSouk only collects the data required for the app to function:
- Location data — used to show souks near you on the map. Collected only while you are actively using the map. Never shared and never stored on our servers.
- In-app navigation data — viewed pages, searches, and favourite artisans. Stored locally on your device only.
- No user account — MonSouk does not require account creation. No email address, password, or login identifier is collected.
3. How we use data
Collected data is used exclusively to:
- Show souks and artisans close to your location
- Remember your preferences and favourites locally
- Improve performance and the relevance of search results
We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties.
4. Storage and security
All user data is stored locally on your device. MonSouk does not operate a server that collects personal data. Information about artisans and souks comes from a static database bundled with the application.
5. Android permissions

No permission is requested for contacts, camera, microphone, or external storage.
6. Third-party services
MonSouk uses the following external services:
- Cloudinary — hosts the trailer video. Subject to the Cloudinary privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — loads the fonts Cormorant Garamond, DM Sans, Noto Naskh Arabic, and IBM Plex Sans Arabic. Subject to the Google privacy policy.
7. User rights
In accordance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and Moroccan law 09-08 on the protection of personal data, you have the following rights:
- Right of access to your data
- Right to rectification
- Right to erasure (deleting the app deletes all local data)
- Right to data portability

8. Changes
This policy may be updated when new versions of the application are released. The latest revision date appears at the top of this page. Continued use of the application after a change implies acceptance of the updated terms.
